QA Manager – Supplier Quality

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of suppliers’ quality systems, processed, and facilities. 
  • Write reports detailing supplier assessments, audits, findings, and recommendations to support raw materials and services sourcing decisions. 
  • Monitor the effectiveness of supplier corrective action responses. 
  • Lead the overall supplier quality functions, wording directly with suppliers to improve overall part quality and improvements to their quality systems. 
  • Oversee the supplier qualification program; Establish criteria and rating system for critical suppliers; administer supplier performance scorecard for high-impact suppliers and monitor suppliers’ corrective action plans. 
  • Collects and reviews supplier audit metrics and communicates to site. Generates data for management reviews. 
  • Ensure that documentation and processes are in a constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness. 
  • Manage performance and development of direct reports providing regularly scheduled feedback throughout the year to ensure achievement of organizational and department goals and a productive environment.

Job Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience)

  • 8+ years of quality experience that includes managing supplier qualification and supplier process improvements. Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, management of equivalent experience required. 
  • Experience dealing with the regulatory agencies. 
  • ASQ Lead Auditor certification will be a plus. Wording knowledge of ISO or EMEA or USFDA, CFDA guidelines. 
  • Track record of driving quality performance 
  • Strong leadership, communication and computer skills Experience leading and supervising others 
  • Travel up to 25% 
  • Thorough, in-depth knowledge of GMPs and related regulatory guidelines. Strong prioritization and organization skills. Excellent (English) verbal and written communication skills.
